The 120 volt immersion heater is perfect for portable baptisteries, where the heater is taken into and out of the baptistery. Please note that is you have a larger baptistry, we recommend the 240V Immersion Heater, the 120V Model is for small (200 gallon or less) baptistries.
Construction Features
- Made of Stainless Steel.
- 3-Conductor cord set with polarized plug included for easy installation and wiring at no extra charge.
- Adjustable thermostat heats water from 55°F to 115°F (± 3°) and keeps it there.
- Hi-Limit cut off switch set at 125°F (±4°).
- Stainless steel mounting bracket also supplied for easy mounting.
- Pilot light and on-off switch provided, indicates desired temperature when reached and breaks circuit when element is not in use.
- Completely automatic and portable - just plug in the Power Cord and operate.
Baptistery Heating Capacity
The 6HI-HL-120 120v (1.5KW) will heat 15 GPH (40° R) or 30GPH (20° R) rise in temperature. So it will take about 4 hours to raise 120 gallons by 20° or 8 hours to raise it 40 degrees.
A 100 to 200 gallon Baptistry can be heated in 5 to 10 hours, or one-half this time for 20 degree rise in temperature.
Heater must be used with a GFCI to comply with NEC codes.
