Advent candles are typically sold by the box of four and include either three purple and one pink, 4 purple, 4 blue, or 3 blue and 1 pink.

Catholic churches traditionally use 51% beeswax Advent candles during the church service.
The Episcopalian church sometimes use 4 purple candles or they may also use 3 blue and 1 pink candles.

Particularly in older churches or high church services, the Sarum blue is a very popular advent candle color.

The standard size candle socket for an advent candle wreath is a one and a half inch diameter.

and use either 12 inch or 16 inch with 16 inch being by far the most popular size advent candle.

We've also seen recently churches moving towards larger advent candles and this mimics the trend we've seen in Pascal candles as well of going to larger candles.

51% beeswax is the most traditional candle used in Advent services but we also carry stearine candles which are popular with Methodist, Lutheran and other Protestant churches.
